Hydraulic Engineering

Reliable Systems. Thoughtfully Integrated.

Hydraulic services are fundamental to a building’s everyday operation, but their success depends on much more than moving water efficiently from one place to another.

Water supply, drainage, sanitary services, stormwater and associated infrastructure all need to function reliably within the physical constraints of the building – while meeting compliance requirements and supporting how the asset will actually operate.

CORE’s hydraulic engineers work across new developments, refurbishments and existing buildings, bringing together performance, compliance, constructability and operational practicality from the outset.

Making Everything Fit – Before It Reaches Site.

Hydraulic infrastructure has to find its place within an increasingly crowded building environment. Risers, pipework, drainage and equipment compete for space with structure, ceilings, mechanical systems, fire services and architectural requirements.

Small coordination issues can quickly become significant construction problems if they are discovered too late.

Our Hydraulic engineers sit within CORE’s broader Building Services team, allowing them to work directly with Mechanical, Electrical and Fire engineers as the design develops, as well as Structural and Facade engineers where those interfaces matter.

That connection helps resolve spatial conflicts and competing requirements earlier – giving project teams greater clarity before construction begins and reducing the need to solve problems on site.

What Works on Paper Has to Work in the Building.

The realities of installation, access and maintenance can fundamentally change what makes sense from a hydraulic perspective – particularly within existing and operational buildings.

Our engineers look beyond the immediate design requirement to consider how systems can be constructed, accessed, maintained and adapted over time. When working with existing assets, we take the time to understand the infrastructure already in place, the limitations of the building and the operational environment around it.

The aim is not to overcomplicate the answer. It is to give clients clear advice on what is achievable, what needs attention and the most practical way forward.

Reliable hydraulic engineering should make buildings easier to deliver, operate and maintain – without creating unnecessary complexity along the way.
